I love when brands listen to the needs of their customers and what I love about this palette is that with it’s giant mirror you can do your makeup anywhere. Even when you close the mirror it makes this gorgeous *clack* noise, AKA pure music to my ears. Honestly I love having a strong palette that I can put in my bag and trust that the corners won’t get all battered and dog-eared. Weight: The first thing that really stood out to me about the packaging of this palette is the weight of the box. I know I’m a little late to the party on getting onboard with the hype over this palette but today I thought you guys would appreciate the look I came up with as well as my thoughts on the makeup. There’s just something about it that really rubbed me the right way, from the unique idea of recreating the enchantment of a desert sunset onto the eyes to the warmth that each colour radiated. I’m very lucky to live close enough to a Sephora that I can pop into on my way home from work and uni whenever I fancy and each time I go in, the one palette that always catches my eye is the Desert Dusk Palette by Huda Beauty. If you have been a long-term follower of LaDameWhoFellToEarth then you’d know that I have always had a real thing for fashion and experimenting with different outfits but my makeup looks have always remained more or less the same. I know this will be one of my go to palettes.2019 is a year that is all about trying new things in the beauty realm. This is definitely up there with my favorites and all of these colors are up my alley. There were some days where I just applied the shadows with my fingers to create looks since I was in a rush and they blended well and looked seamless. Compared to the Rose Gold palette, I feel people will have a much easier time using this one.

I would highly recommend this one if you're in search of a fall palette. I didn't have an issue blending or picking up color from the shadows. There was a teeny bit of kick up but nothing like the Subculture palette. I truly and genuinely enjoy the looks I can create, the smoothness of the shadows and the pigmentation. To be honest, I'm really finding it difficult to find something wrong with this palette. I used Anastasia Beverly Hills Dolce liquid lipstick for the lips. For the lower lash line, I used Amber and applied Turkish Delight in the middle of the water line. Turkish Delight was the star for the lid and then I dabbed into Nefertiti for the center. I then went in with Oud and Amethyst to give a purplish smoke on the outer corner. To get the eye look, I used musk and amber in the crease. I wanted to recreate the look on the cover of the Desert Dusk palette. 3 x Duo-Chrome Topper Eyeshadows in Retrograde, Twilight, and Celestial.īelow are some swatches to get a closer look at the colors found inside:įor the last look before my final review, I knew I wanted to go all out and I mean ALL OUT. 6 x Pressed Pearl Eyeshadows in Turkish Delight, Angelic, Cashmere, Royal, Nefertiti, and Blood Moon. 8 x Matte Eyeshadows in Blazing, Saffron, Amethyst, Oud, Amber, Eden, Musk, and Desert Sand. I purchased my palette from Sephora and paid less than half the price since I had a gift card/Īccording to the Sephora website, the palette contains: I really enjoyed the first palette, although I know it received much dislike over the textured pressed shades so I knew I wanted to try Huda's newest project.

Then she ventured into the lip world with matte lipsticks and then took on eyeshadow with the Rose Gold textured palette, which will soon be discontinued. She began her foray in the makeup world with false lashes, that have become a cult favorite to so many including me. If you've been living under a rock, Huda Kattan is probably the largest beauty influencer in the world with 21.6 million followers, and the popular Huda Beauty makeup line. Huda Beauty's second eyeshadow palette " Desert Dusk palette ($65)" has finally launched after the major reveal in August left us oohing and aaahing at the stunning purple and orange warm tones.
